~ Carla F. McFadden ~

With a heart large enough to embrace anyone who crosses her path, Carla has always had room for those less fortunate than herself.  The second born of 10 children,  she learned to be sharing at an early age. Ms. McFadden is fondly remembered by members of her community, and in particularly those of The Church of The Advocate, where she served in the soup kitchen as a young teen.

Educated in the Philadelphia Public School system, she earned her High School Diploma at William Penn High School.  In conjunction with a strong family support system, Carla received encouragement from her school's director who often stated that she had something uniquely special about herself and that if she pursued the nursing field, she would surely be successful.  Carla never forgot this and continued on after graduation to attend The James Martin School of Nursing, where she obtained a nursing degree.  Next, she attended Temple University and received her credentials in mental health.

Taking a break from her education to work and support her 3 sons, Carla was employed with agencies such as The United Cerebral Palsy Association, The Overbrook School for the Blind - Friedlander Program and others in and around the Philadelphia and Metropolitan areas.  However Carla felt this was still not sufficient, so she went back to school and obtained a license in "Hemo-Dialysis, while holding down a job in a doctor's office.  She also worked at The Inglis House in 1999 where she received her vision to open her own personal care and assisted living facility.

Carla deeply needed to do more to help enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities......her greatest passion.  While working on this goal, she obtained her administrator's license in February 2009, along with various other certificates from The University of Penn (Beaver), in Pittsburgh, PA.  She kept moving along to further her education towards a degree in Pharmacy.

Through it all, Ms. McFadden has been very steadfast in reaching her career goals without limitations. Carla openly expresses her appreciation to a very dear friend, who has touched her life in so many special ways throughout the years, Mr. Anthony E Williams.Who taught her the ends and outs of business and what dedication meant. Lastly she thanks God for all of her achievements and the blessing of future accomplishments.
