With the recent opening of our facility this week, Carela's Personal Care & Assisted Living Home is currently accepting applications for the following positions:
Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aides
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Position Type: Part-Time (32 Hours/Week)
Starting salary will depend on experience/certification
Shifts Available:
Morning 8AM - 4PM | Evening 4PM - 12AM | Overnight 12AM - 8AM
Job Description:
Patient Care Technicians/CNAs and Home Health Aides will provide direct patient care to our residents. They must be willing to assist residents with many tasks that they can not do for themselves including getting out of bed, bathing and hygiene, dressing and grooming, eating, light cleaning and household work, and much more related to providing personal care and assisted living.
Qualifications:
To be considered for employment ALL Carela's applicants must have:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- At least 2 years experience as licensed CNA preferred, but not required
- Previous patient care experience in a related facility or setting preferred, but not required
- Successful completion of First Aid and CPR Certification
- Current PPD and current physical examination (REQUIRED prior to employment)
- Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Clearance, and Drug Screenings are mandatory
- Ability to assist in lifting patients and equipment
- Ability to provide basic personal care and assisted living needs
- Ability to provide coverage at area facilities during times of short staffing or as required
- Abiltity to work independently, as well as within teamwork environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and write in English required, however Bilingual applicants are welcome as well

- Any medical certifications that may apply to position (CPR, First Aid, etc.)

- 3 Professional References
- Be prepared to take the Direct Care Staff Person Training Test (1 Hour Online Test)
